Bubble Planet Manchester - Changing the Liminal Space.

Visiting Bubble Planet Experience in Manchester really allowed me to see how a liminal space can be transformed into something vibrant and exciting. The public become performers within the environment, turning the space itself into an adventure.
At its core, this is simply a factory building transformed into a wonderland — a maze of excitement that people move through in completely different ways. Each person creates their own experience through play, interaction, and curiosity.
I found myself kicking balloons through the air and awakening my inner child, engaging with the playfulness intentionally built into the space. With my seven-month-old strapped to my chest, I even found myself burying us in the ball pit so she could experience the tactility and sensory playfulness of the environment.
This experience has really expanded my ideas about how my own project could evolve into something magical. It made me think more deeply about the idea of the Zone in Stalker — a space that feels mysterious, transformative, and alive with possibility. Finding my artefacts should become an adventure in itself, where the journey through the environment is just as important as the objects discovered within it.
